Our Team

Caryn Chappell

When teaching Reformer Pilates classes, mindfulness and body awareness are top of mind! Caryn wants you to explore Pilates for its power and its subtleties, for its challenging movements and that feel-good elongation. Pilates is filled with opposition, and her goal is to share that with you while continuing to learn alongside you.

Caryn grew up dancing and moved to Toronto to pursue dance as a career. She performed professionally with various companies and loved her time both in the studio and onstage. She found Pilates and immediately felt at home. She wanted to learn more, so she completed her training at Mindful Movement Centre.

Instructor

Alexa xavier

Alexa began her journey as a Pilates instructor in 2018 after falling in love with the practice. Over the years she has refined her teaching to focus on human biomechanics and functional strength. Alexa’s classes encourage you to take your time, to really tune in, and to give everything a try.

She hopes to share a greater understanding of how your body moves, how your breath works, and how you can better support yourself to build strength from the inside out.

lee melamed

Lee has been teaching Pilates for over 15 years, and she continues to be inspired by the incredible things that can happen when people feel supported in their movement journey.

Her classes are grounded in curiosity, connection, and fun, creating a space where clients can feel safe, confident, and strong in their bodies.

Pilates has given her so much throughout her life - strength, community, joy, and the freedom to move with confidence. Sharing those experiences with others is what she loves most about teaching. Whether you're stepping into the studio for the first time or deepening an established practice, she hopes to help you discover a movement practice that feels empowering, sustainable, and uniquely your own.
